On November 19, 2025, the Board of Commissioners (BOC) of Lower Merion Township voted 10-4 to prioritize public health and phase out gas-powered leaf blowers from our community. The new policy went into effect June 1, 2026.

We applaud our BOC for committing to the public health of everyone in LM: its residents, its employees, and all who work here.  

Quiet Clean Lower Merion would love to hear our fellow residents’ questions and ideas for what we can do to ensure a fair and smooth transition away from gas blowers.
